All costs were covered by UPM for land preparation, pre-germinated lemon grass seedlings, weed control, watering, fertilizers & harvesting costs. Sales of fully processed bunches of lemon grass will be managed by QUTE's site supervisor & wholeseller. A google earth screenshot will be made available on www.quantumtimur.com for those wishing to make a site visit annonymously.

QUTE Restaurant Share Offer Proposal

We are now drafting share offer for QUTE Restaurant having acheived a minimum target sales of RM2,000 per week. If the proposal pass in the next general meeting QUTE JV @ Unit shares will be offered as follows:

Total Shares = 50,000 Units = 50 LOT = RM50,000
Company Profit = Gross Profit - (Rental+Utilities+Wages)
Dividend / LOT = Company Profit /50 LOT

Assume Gross Profit = RM150 X 30 Days = RM4,500
Company Profit = RM4,500 - (3,000) = RM1,500 / Month
Dividend / LOT = RM1,500 / 50 LOT = RM30 / Month

Annual Dividend = RM30 X 12 Months = RM360
Average ROI = RM360 / RM1,000 = 36 % p.a.

Result of general meeting will be posted next week. (Number of LOTs to be offered to private corporate investors will be announced along with any discounts on LOT prices)

Existing & Potential Local / Export Markets

Many Private Corporate Investors/Partners wonder where we market our Fresh Lemon Grass:

Our Site Supervisors & Jabatan Pertanian Advisor both maintains 30 acres of Lemon Grass each. QUTE's 1st phase of Lemon Grass Plantation consists of only 5 Hectar so as of this writing.

At the time of this writing our markets consists of:
1) Local Wholesalers at RM1,200 / 1 Metric Tonne (1,000 Bunch) Daily
2) Rempah Factory at RM3,000 / 3 Metric Tonne (3,000 Bunch) Daily
3) Singapore Wholesalers at RM16,000 / 10 Metric Tonne (10,000 Bunch) Weekly

At the moment we still do not have the capacity to supply to these markets using our own plantation stock so a lot of trading goes on between our Site Supervisors & Wholesalers between many different private corporate plantations to meet the demands of these markets.

QUTE has planned to schedule 2 Hectar of Lemon Grass Plantation every month at our primary plantation site at Kg Sg Buaya to support this existing demand

Sg Buaya Joint-Venture Lemon Grass Plantation

2 Hectars of Fertile Agricultural Land at Sg Buaya has been fully utilized with JV Lemon Grass Plantation. Additional 2 Hectars of Fertile Land will begin deforestration end of March 2009 for the 2nd phase of Lemon Grass Planting.
